Setting Up Your Brand in Marketing Cloud
Eight steps for setting up the Salesforce Marketing Cloud brand builder
When it comes to email marketing, speed and consistency are everything.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s Brand feature in the email builder is a game-changer for busy marketers who want to streamline their work without sacrificing quality.
Instead of manually entering brand details like logos, colors, and footers for every new campaign, you can set them up once and let the email builder keep your details for future use.
Marketers get a consistent look and feel across all their communications, freeing up more time for strategy and creativity.
Setting up your Marketing Cloud email brand builder
Go to your CMS workspace tab, and find Content workspace for Marketing Cloud.
Create CMS Content
On the right side, cursor over “Add” and choose “Content,” and then “Brand.”
Select Create.
You can set up more than one brand.
Adding your brand details
Go through each category to set up the look and feel of your brand.
Brand Details
Enter the basic information, including brand details and a description.
Colors
Add your brand colors, including accent, background, and text colors.
Typography
Marketers can choose between 14 different fonts. (No custom font.)
They can also set the font sizes with the pixel and rem columns. Rem stands for root em, a CSS unit used for typography that scales relative to the root element’s font size. Email builders often pair rem with fallback px values for maximum compatibility across email clients.
Bonus! You can also change the text styles for each text sizes.
Buttons
Marketers can customize three button styles. See a sample of each button on the right viewing panel.
You cannot customize buttons in HTML.
The button brand settings do not allow for hover color, transitions, or icons.
Margin and padding
Margin and padding determine the space around content and components. To adjust a specified size, edit the pixel or rem value. When you change the value in one column, the other value adjusts automatically.
Border
Set your brand preferences for borders.
